1. The Black Nazarene
* A life-sized statue of Christ is carried through town by barefooted men yelling, “Viva Señor, while huge crowd tries to touch the statue. * January 9 at Quiapo Church in Manila
2. Sinulog
* The festival is characterized by a very long parade with many groups of persons dressed in colorful costumes, finding their way through the streets while dancing the Sinulog. * Held every year on the third Sunday of January in Cebu City. 3. Ati-Atihan

7. Sandugo Festival

8. Pahiyas Festival
* Believed to be one of the Philippines’ most extravagant and most colorful, is held in honor of San Isidro Labrador and is the farmers’ thanksgiving for a rich and bountiful harvest.

9. Santa Cruzan /Flores de Mayo
* “Queen of Filipino Festivals”. It is a week-long street pageant in almost every town; from the dirt road barrio to the metropolis honoring beautiful Philippine maidens and their handsome escorts under the hand-carried bamboo arc’s decorated by fragrant native flowers. * held annually in the warm month of May

10. Pintados festival
* Tacloban City
* Recalls Pre-Spanish history of the native Leytenos from wars, epics and folk religions. The most expected aspect of the Pintados festival are the festive dancers, painted from head to toe with designs that look like armor to resemble the tattooed warriors of old. 11. Kadayawan Festival
